SRA have worked extensively on projects to consult both local people and stakeholders about the design and construction of new major road and rail routes.

The potential of Intelligent Transport systems is another area in which SRA have explored perception and behavioural impacts including understanding how people plan journeys and navigate electronic and paper information. One large research project involved a study of the navigation and use of the Transport Direct portal.

Studies of parking are also a speciality, in particular disabled parking spaces and attitudes of the shoppers.
